All gyms are set up the same. An overwhelming barrage of treadmills with TVs. Machines. Dumbbells along a mirrored wall. And then a few squat racks.
At Compendi, our primary focus is to create a space where people can actually train. Although other gyms give you access to equipment, they do not give you access to training.
Here is the truth. All those gyms are deliberately designed to disincentive you from reaching your goals. They want you to feel like you can just take a class or meander to the StairMaster. If you actually try to train, you will only end up discouraged by the amount of concessions you make. This is not to your benefit but is a scheme devised to line the pockets of a greedy gym owner.
If you are looking for a place which enables you to train the way your body demands, then we would like to invite you to work out here one time for free. When you step into Compendi, you are forced to reckon with the rack in front of you and work. You are psychologically predisposed to be intentional about everything that you do. We've done this because the gym should exist to incentivize training and enable every member to achieve progress.
The foundation of training is consistently performing compound movements. Having access to a barbell and squat rack over the course of an hour is essential to accomplishing this. Every other training goal is augmented and assisted by having this foundation. Compendi is committed to creating the conditions necessary so members have the freedom to achieve any training goal.
